Terms of Service
1. The Service & Dual-Hash Architecture
Stamp-on-Chain (SOC) provides a forensic anchoring service for digital files.
- 1.1 Zero-Knowledge Privacy: All file hashing is performed locally via the User’s browser. The Company never receives or stores raw User files.
-
1.2
Dual-Hash Standard: To ensure long-term integrity, every file generates a primary
SHA-256hash (for anchoring) and a secondaryBLAKE3hash (for forensic redundancy). -
1.3
The Truth Block: Digital proofs are delivered via a "Certificate of Digital Origin" (PDF) with the mathematical manifest embedded in the metadata
Subjectfield.
2. Wallet Usage & Gas Funding
2.1 Forensic Hash Anchoring: The Company provides each User with a unique blockchain wallet for anchoring file hashes. We do not anchor Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to the public blockchain. Internal records linking your account to these stamps are maintained on our secure servers and are permanently deleted 90 days after your subscription ends. This is a Non-Financial Wallet. It is not a depository account. Do not send funds or digital assets to this wallet. The Company is not liable for any assets lost by sending them to this address.
2.2 Gas Provision: Hecla Technology Forge LLC funds all network gas costs via its own liquidity pool. Users do not need to provide their own gas tokens.
2.3 Dynamic Surcharge: While the Company subsidizes gas, we reserve the right to apply a "Network Congestion Surcharge" or provide a UI warning if network costs exceed $0.01 USD per transaction.
3. Evidence & Independent Verification
3.1 No Expert Witness: The Service provides mathematical infrastructure, not legal testimony. The Company does not provide human expert witnesses, affidavits, or court appearances. The proof is designed to be self-authenticating.
3.2 Proprietary Protocol & NDA: The "Verification Protocol" is a trade secret. It is available to third-party auditors and legal counsel strictly under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
3.3 Business Continuity (Doomsday Escrow): If the Company ceases operations, the Verification Protocol will be emailed to active Users and minted as a public NFT on the Avalanche C-Chain, ensuring all past "Truth Blocks" remain verifiable forever.
4. Customer-Managed Storage (S3 BYOS)
4.1 External Vaults: Users may connect their own S3 buckets. The Service acts as a secure frontend pass-through via pre-signed URLs. The Company never hosts or intercepts these files.
4.2 Configuration Liability: The User is solely responsible for their bucket security. While SOC may check for "Public Access Blocks" as a convenience, the Company is not liable for leaks caused by User misconfiguration.
5. Liability Shield & Employee Protection
5.1 Individual Exculpation
Limitations of liability apply to Hecla Technology Forge LLC and expressly extend to its founders, officers, and employees personally. No legal action may be brought against any individual employee of the Company in their personal capacity.
5.2 Liability Cap: Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by the User in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
5.3 Cryptographic Obsolescence: The Company is not liable for future mathematical breakthroughs (e.g., quantum computing) that may weaken current hashing standards.
6. Class Action Waiver & Dispute Resolution
6.1 CLASS ACTION WAIVER: THE USER AGREES THAT ANY CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE USER’S INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
6.2 Jurisdiction: All disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and settled in Wyoming courts.
7. Prohibited Use & Export Controls
7.1 Content Liability: The User assumes 100% liability for the legality of the content being hashed.
7.2 Export Laws: The User warrants they are not located in an embargoed country or on any OFAC restricted list.
8. Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for failures caused by war, terrorism, civil unrest, or catastrophic failure of AWS or the Avalanche blockchain network.
